Creative writing does not mean necessarily mean writing ads, although this is one niche of the very broad writing category, it means writing with an artistic approach. Writers in the creative writing industry are always in high demand, but the requirements for aspiring writers are a little higher than in other fields. Basic creative writing often includes creating texts for greeting cards or short poems. The more complex tasks are writing whole storyboards, travel writing or being a columnist. Applying for a creative writing job often requires some sort of references given by prior employers, although there are many companies hiring novice writers as well. At the end, it depends a lot of the salary you expect.
